This book really helped me grasp how I need to focus my finances when it comes to owning a home. The way Ms. Lyons wrote kept things on my level and was very easy to understand- I highly recommend for those who just need the facts without all the hoopla!

I'm a HUD Approved Reverse Mortgage Lender and my clients find me at [...]. Since they find me via the internet, I talk to people from all over the Country and explain to them how Reverse Mortgages work. I also provide them with a copy of Reverse Mortgages for Dummies (when possible). Even though the book is somewhat out of date now, it still contains the fundamental principles of Reverse Mortgages and helps them understand how this unique loan works. My goal is for them to be comfortable with the loan and respond to their questions after they've read the book. One of my recent clients from Alabama me his wife picked it up at the local bookstore and he started reading it when he went to bed and didn't finish until 5AM the following morning, he liked the book so much. His wife started reading it after breakfast and finished around supper-time.

This is a good primer in reverse mortgages. I have been frustrated in querying my CPA and other financial authorities on the subject of the Reverse Mortgage and this book helps answer most of the important questions. I didn't want to get an MBA by reading this book and so many of the books on the subject are too detailed for what the average homeowner needs. This one fills the bill.I'de recommend it.
